A Canadian customer needed the charging cable and port to remain accessible from the side of a large illuminated ice bucket.
A Canadian customer needed a rechargeable LED light for a large illuminated ice bucket. His key requirement was that the charging cable and port could be reached from the side instead of from the bottom. Vcan supplied the VC-L117-D01 side-charging LED light for this application.
The customer completed an order on February 22, 2025 under the product description “led light charge from side.” Vcan's sales records identify the supplied model as VC-L117-D01 and the intended application as an illuminated ice bucket.
Customer and order evidence
A returning customer described the charging position he needed.
This buyer had already purchased LED modules and illuminated furniture from Vcan on several occasions. Those orders establish an ongoing customer relationship, but they are not presented as repeat orders for VC-L117-D01.
In a message dated February 20, 2025, the customer wrote, “I need some LED lights with the charging cable and port.” He then explained that the product should charge from the side rather than from the bottom and used an ice chest to show the arrangement.

The application
The light stays inside while the charging port remains accessible.
The LED light is installed inside the translucent ice bucket so that the shell distributes its output. A separate charging connection can be positioned on the side of the product, where the charger plug can be reached without accessing the underside.
This distinction is useful for larger products: the best position for the internal light is not always the most convenient position for connecting the charger.
Confirmed module
VC-L117-D01 separates the internal light from the charging point.
The arrangement consists of a light body installed inside the illuminated product, a connecting lead and a charging-port assembly fitted into a suitable opening in the side of the shell. Side charging describes the position of the charging connection; it does not mean that the light itself is mounted outside.
The same structural idea can be considered for larger illuminated bar counters, tall tables and chairs where access underneath is inconvenient. These are additional applications, not products confirmed in this ice-bucket order.

Installation checklist
Review the light, cable and side port as one system.
- Light-body fit: confirm the mounting dimensions, fixing points and available internal depth.
- Port position: check the shell opening, wall thickness and clearance for the charger plug and the user's hand.
- Cable route: confirm the distance and bends between the light and the intended side port.
- Charging compatibility: use the charger specified for the supplied light; a similar plug does not prove electrical compatibility.
- Moisture exposure: consider spills, condensation and cleaning around an ice bucket. Finished-product protection depends on the complete installation.

Is the LED light mounted on the side of the ice bucket?
No. The light is installed inside the product. A connecting lead allows the charging port to be fitted at an accessible position on the side of the shell.
Can VC-L117-D01 fit every illuminated ice bucket?
No. The light-body dimensions, mounting points, internal clearance, charging-port opening and cable route must be checked against the actual product before ordering.
Is this a USB-C charging system?
USB-C is not established by this case. The port type and approved matching charger must be confirmed for the selected configuration.
Can a side-charging LED light be used in other illuminated furniture?
The same layout can be considered for larger illuminated products such as bar counters, tall tables and chairs, but each shell requires its own fit, cable-route and charging-access review.
