Charging Multiple Rechargeable LED Modules Together

Customers needed a practical way to charge several lights together. Vcan developed custom multi-position arrangements to meet that need. Six positions are one example; layouts for 10 or more modules can also be made to order. These solutions are custom-made, with no ready stock.

The task was to charge several lights together.

When a project uses many rechargeable lights, the preparation routine matters alongside brightness and runtime. Customers asked Vcan for a solution that could accommodate several modules at the same time. Vcan developed a working multi-position charging arrangement to meet that need.

The practical change is at the charging position: a shared board brings several matching induction plates into one layout. Staff can place the appropriate modules on those positions rather than connect a charging cable to each lamp body.

This is a configuration for a complete LED module project. If you are still choosing how the individual light should charge, start with the direct-charge and induction-charge comparison.

A six-position example, with other quantities made to order.

The wooden board has six circular charging plates in two columns. The photograph at the top shows the arrangement with six LED modules in place. Together, the photographs show both the charging layout and how the modules sit on it.

Six is one example, not the limit of the solution. Vcan can customise arrangements for 10 modules or more, with the layout and supply matched to the agreed module configuration. These are made-to-order project solutions; there is no ready stock.

The physical layout can suit the way the lights are handled.

Another Vcan example uses a six-position arrangement on a raised metal platform. It shows another physical format for bringing matching charging positions together. The board dimensions, spacing and supports should follow the modules or finished lamps being placed on it.

Decide whether users will charge the complete lamp or remove its module first. For a product designed to release its light from a fixed ring, the separate twist-out module guide explains the removal step. This article concerns what happens when several compatible lights reach the charging area together.

Confirm the modules and occupied charging layout together.

A multi-position arrangement needs a defined module configuration, matching plates and an appropriate supply arrangement. Confirm the number that will charge simultaneously, rather than approving only a single position and assuming the full layout is equivalent.

  • The lights: identify the module version and whether complete lamps or removable modules will be placed on the board.
  • The quantity: state how many units must charge at the same time and how they will be returned to use.
  • The layout: provide the available board or storage space and the clearance needed around each lamp.
  • The operating check: confirm positioning, indicator behaviour and completion of charging with the intended positions occupied.

For your project, agree the power supply, charging time and completion check for the proposed configuration. Multiple positions do not automatically mean faster charging for each module. Our battery and charging configuration guide addresses the electrical configuration; the sample testing checklist helps record the complete setup.

Charging several LED modules together

Can several rechargeable LED modules charge at the same time?

Yes. Vcan has developed multi-position induction-charging solutions for customers who need to charge several modules together. The photographed examples have six positions. The modules, charging plates and supply arrangement must be matched for the intended configuration.

Can Vcan make a solution for 10 or more LED modules?

Yes. Six positions are one project example. Vcan can customise layouts for 10 modules or more to suit the module configuration, simultaneous charging requirement and available space. The appropriate supply and layout are confirmed for the project.

Are these multiple-module charging solutions available from stock?

No. They are made to order, rather than stocked standard items. Send the module details, the number to charge at once and the available space so Vcan can review the required configuration and quotation.

Can different LED module models share the same board?

Only when that combination has been confirmed. Similar diameter or a similar-looking charging plate is not enough. Identify each module version and its matching charging arrangement before planning a shared setup.

Does charging several modules together make each one charge faster?

Not automatically. Multiple positions address how several lights are handled together. The charging time for each module depends on its agreed configuration and needs checking with the intended positions occupied.

How should users check that all the modules have finished charging?

Follow the indicator instructions for the supplied module version and check each occupied position. Agree the completion check during sample testing with the intended number of modules in place.

Can this be used for lamps and illuminated furniture?

It can be reviewed for a suitable LED module project. Confirm whether staff will place removable modules or complete lamps on the charging positions, then check the physical clearance, positioning and matching charging system. The exact product arrangement determines suitability.

Plan the lights and their charging routine

Need LED modules that can be charged together?

Send photos or drawings of your lighting product, the module configuration if known, the number of lights to charge at once and the available charging space. Vcan can review a suitable module and made-to-order charging arrangement for your project, including 10-position or larger requirements.
